The die is the core component of every pellet mill, as it directly determines the shape, strength, and overall quality of the finished pellets. For decades, Salmatec dies have stood for maximum precision, long service life, and consistently reproducible results. Since 2025, we have set new benchmarks once again: With our new, state-of-the-art production facility and a completely modernized machine park, Salmatec now operates one of the most advanced die manufacturing facilities worldwide.

State-of-the-Art Die Manufacturing – Made by Salmatec

On approximately 1,600 m² of production space, we manufacture dies with an exceptionally high level of vertical integration entirely in-house. Our entire machinery portfolio was renewed in 2024 and upgraded to the latest CNC technology. From raw material machining to final quality inspection, every process step is fully under our control.

The spacious hall layout ensures optimized production workflows, short lead times, and maximum flexibility for a wide variety of die designs. This allows us to implement custom customer requirements faster, more precisely, and with consistently high quality.

Versatile Die Solutions for Every Application

Each pelletizable material places specific demands on the die. Salmatec offers a wide range of customized die solutions for diverse industries. Through variable bore diameters, optimized geometries, and application-specific compression ratios, we ensure that throughput, energy efficiency, and pellet quality remain at the highest possible level.

Salmatec manufactures dies not only for its own Maxima pellet mill series, but also for pellet mills from other manufacturers. Thanks to our high level of in-house production and decades of experience, we are able to optimize and produce dies of any size and configuration – ensuring maximum performance and extended service life, regardless of pellet mill type.
