Our mission and vision<\/h2>\n

Salmatec GmbH is a well-established family business that has been developing and manufacturing pelletizing plants and their wear parts for the entire field of pelletizing technology since 1972.
\nMarket-oriented in-house designs, the complete planning of our own plant concepts, customer-oriented sales, and a globally organized service department are part of our main line of business.<\/p>\n

Our processes and systems are continuously improved through self-defined goals. The implementation of these goals is monitored, documented, and evaluated within the framework of our integrated management system. Our goal is to reduce overall resource consumption and environmental impact through targeted individual measures.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n

Salmatec GmbH, initially known as \u201cSalzhausener Maschinenbautechnik SALMATEC GmbH,\u201d was founded in 1972 in its place of origin in Salzhausen by Werner M\u00fcller and Hans-G\u00fcnter Petersen. Their goal was to deliver the world’s best dies using innovative manufacturing solutions.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

\r\n The First Pellet Mill<\/span>\r\n 1974<\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

After a short time, customers began expressing their desire for robust pelletizing machines to Salmatec. This led to the creation of our \u201cMaxima\u201d pelletizing press series.<\/p>\n

The first Maxima was installed in 1974 at Raiffeisen Hamburg, now HaBeMa.
\nIt is still in operation today.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

In 1982, we received a major order from the Hamburg-based company Krohn & Co. to deliver 75 Maxima 580s to Bangkok, Thailand\u2014the first big step toward our current global position.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

In the early 1990s, we began developing pelletizing solutions for the waste industry. In doing so, we established a long-standing partnership with Japanese plant manufacturer MIIKE Iron Works that continues to this day.<\/p>\n

In 1995, we jointly installed the first RPF pelletizing press in Japan\u2014today, there are over 150 machines that are having a lasting impact on the Japanese recycling industry.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

At the turn of the millennium, the two founders, Werner M\u00fcller and Hans-G\u00fcnter Petersen, retired. Management of the company was taken over by Christian M\u00fcller, Bernd Petersen, and Andr\u00e9 M\u00fcller, who had already been part of Salmatec for over ten years and had played a pioneering role in shaping the company’s strategy.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

In 2004, the newly constructed production hall at the Salzhausen site was inaugurated.
\nSalmatec machines were continuously developed further
\nin order to meet the ever-growing demands of the industry.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Increasing business and technical development
\nrequired additional expansion.<\/p>\n

Originally, Salmatec was located on the outskirts of Salzhausen.
\nOver the decades, however, the town grew around the
\nsite, making further expansion in Salzhausen
\nno longer possible.<\/p>\n

An opportunity arose to acquire the property, including
\nthe existing commercial buildings of the former H\u00fcnert company
\nin G\u00f6denstorf. The first part of the move took place in 2009,
\nwhen the steel construction and administration departments
\nmoved into the new premises. Shortly afterwards, the mechanical engineering department
\nfollowed suit.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

\r\n Expansion in G\u00f6denstorf<\/span>\r\n 2015<\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

In 2015, a 25,000 m\u00b2 section of the newly developed industrial park directly adjacent to our site in G\u00f6denstorf was purchased in Oelstorf.<\/p>\n

This was to be used for expansion and ultimately to consolidate our locations. First, the central warehouse, the new social building, and the production hall were built in 2018 and 2019. The central warehouse forms the new logistics hub of the company, from which not only worldwide shipments to customers but also deliveries to internal departments are made. Step by step, the previously decentralized sub-warehouses were moved to the central warehouse.<\/p>\n

The dissolution of the former mechanical engineering warehouse in the front building in G\u00f6denstorf freed up space there. This enabled the next part of the move to take place, with the rotor construction and crusher construction departments moving into this hall.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

On March 28, 2025, Production Hall 6 in G\u00f6denstorf was officially opened with around 500 guests in attendance.<\/p>\n

This milestone not only marks the complete consolidation of our locations, but also reaffirms our position as a state-of-the-art production facility.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

On February 9, 2026, the first employees moved into our new office building.<\/p>\n

Located in the center of our company grounds, the building accommodates approximately 35 employees from the departments of Engineering, Project Management, Technical Drafting, Service, Purchasing, Marketing, and Sales.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
