Hygienized with Process Reliability – Pelletized Efficiently

Inside the Salmatherm, the material is controlled, heated, and conditioned for a period of two to four minutes. During this defined retention time, quality-reducing microorganisms are reliably minimized. The result is a hygienized, pliable product that can be processed much more efficiently in the downstream pellet mill.

Improved material preparation leads to higher throughput rates, reduced mechanical stress on the pellet mill, and a significant improvement in pellet quality.

Intelligent Design for Operation and Cleaning

The Salmatherm is fully designed for continuous industrial operation. Large cleaning and inspection openings along the entire machine length provide optimal access to the process chamber, ensuring short cleaning times and minimal downtime.

Efficient Steam Utilization with High Energy Efficiency

Salmatherm screws are designed for operation with elevated steam temperatures. Both the insulated outer jacket and the screw shaft are actively heated with steam to ensure constant process temperatures and to reliably prevent material build-up.

Optionally, the outer jacket can also be electrically heated. The use of laser-welded sandwich thermal plates enables extremely short heat-up times and an exceptionally high energy efficiency.
